I just wanted to pass on the great feedback I got from Barb Perkis at the Chicago Lighthouse regarding The Midway Ramblers performance there. They loved it and said the band was so gracious about letting the kids touch and experience the instruments, which meant a lot to them.

I received a grant from the AATF to invite the Midway Ramblers to Schurz High School. This was an "encore" performance for me because they also performed for my students at Harper High School in 1999.
My students learned a lot about Cajun culture and the various instruments. Schurz has a Music Academy, so the students were eager to have their turn to play along. They also loved the line dance.
A must-see for school or your Friday night date!
