Dennis Stroughmatt and Creole Stomp will be our first guest band of the season.  We're very excited about hosting CreoleDennis Stroughmatt and Creole Stomp Stomp, a national touring band with 6 CDs to their credit.  Dennis has played with many Louisiana bands including Sheryl Cormier, Dexter Ardoin and the Creole Ramblers, Hadley Castille, The Morris Ardoin Creole Trio and The Acadian Aces.   Dennis has appeared as a performer on CDs by Morris Ardoin and Dexter Ardoin.  Dennis and his band are on the Illinois Arts Council Artstour Roster, The Heartland Arts Fund Roster and the Missouri Humanities Council Speaker Roster.
 
As Ron McFarlain of Lake Charles, LA, has said  "When it comes to Louisiana French music, I've heard a  lot in my time.  Dennis doesn't try to play the real thing, he IS the real thing.  So don't miss seeing him and Creole Stomp!"
